Terms and Conditions
1. Who we are
These terms are between you and Skill Pilot Advisory Sdn. Bhd., a company incorporated in Malaysia (company registration number 202601022948 (1685045-M)), with its registered address at Level 7, Mercu 3, No. 3, Jalan Bangsar, KL Eco City, 59200 Kuala Lumpur, W.P. Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In these terms, "SkillPilot", "we", and "us" mean that company.
Contact us at info@skillpilotadvisory.ai or through the Support page. Privacy matters are covered in the Privacy Notice.
2. Who may buy
Our self-serve products are for business and professional use. You must be at least 18 years old to buy or use them. By using the service, you warrant that you meet this age requirement.
If you buy for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation to these terms. In that case "you" means both you and the organisation.
Products are primarily for business use. If you acquire a product as a consumer within the meaning of the Consumer Protection Act 1999 section 2(2), the mandatory consumer protections in that Act apply regardless of any business-use declaration you make.
3. How the contract forms
Product pages describe what each product includes. They are an invitation to buy, not a binding offer. Before payment you tick a box on our product page and accept these terms again on the Stripe checkout page. A contract forms when Stripe confirms your payment and we record the purchase. We then give you access through My products using the email address you entered at checkout.
We keep a record of the version of these terms you accepted, the acceptance status reported by Stripe, the checkout reference, and the time. We do not rely on the tick box on our website alone as proof of acceptance. Together, this creates a binding, verifiable record of contract formation under the Electronic Commerce Act 2006.
4. Products and permitted use
Each self-serve product is a structured business tool. It may include a guided workspace, templates, a spreadsheet model, calculated or generated drafts, and PDF export. The product page describes the inputs it expects, the outputs you receive, and its limits. A product does not include consulting, implementation, custom modelling, or human interpretation unless the product page says so.
You may use a product for the internal business purposes of you or your organisation.
5. Accounts and access codes
You sign in with a one-time code sent to your purchase email. Keep your email account secure and do not share codes. You are responsible for activity under your sign-in until you tell us about unauthorised use. Report suspected unauthorised access promptly through the Support page.
Access is tied to the purchase email. Each purchase covers one named user unless the product page states otherwise.
6. Your licence
When your payment succeeds, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence to use the purchased product for internal business purposes while your access is active. Only the product you paid for is unlocked. One purchase never grants access to another product.
Your access period starts when your payment succeeds and ends at the end of the period you bought. Each product page states the access period for each option. You choose the option at purchase. For Score, the Standard option gives 90 days of access and the Annual option gives 365 days of access. The day-90 re-audit is included only in the Annual option. AI credits included with a purchase expire at the end of that purchase's access period.
When your access period ends, you can no longer create or edit work in that product. You can still sign in and download reports you confirmed during your access period, for as long as we keep them under our Privacy Notice.
You own the information you enter and the reports you create, subject to our rights in the underlying product, templates, methods, and wording.
7. Intellectual property
We or our licensors own the products, templates, spreadsheets, scoring methods, text, designs, software, and the SkillPilot name and logo. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of them to you.
8. Restrictions
You must not, and must not help anyone else to:
- copy, resell, rent, sublicense, or distribute a product or its templates, except for reports you create for your own internal use
- share sign-in codes or let people outside the licence use your access
- reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the product's code or methods, except where law permits this despite this restriction
- scrape, crawl, or use automated means to extract content from the site or a product
- bypass or test the security, access controls, or payment checks of the site
- use a product to build a competing product or for unauthorised commercial distribution
9. Prohibited use
You must not use any product or output in a way that is unlawful, deceptive, harmful, discriminatory, malicious, or that infringes anyone's rights. This includes using outputs to make decisions about individuals' employment, credit, housing, insurance, or access to services without appropriate human review and legal basis.
Deliberate misuse, such as attempting to access another customer's data, may lead to immediate suspension and may be reported to the authorities.
10. Information you supply
You are responsible for the accuracy, legality, and quality of the information you enter or upload. Use aggregated business information wherever possible.
Do not upload confidential, regulated, or sensitive information, or personal data about other people, unless you have the authority and a lawful basis to do so. Sensitive information includes health, financial account, identity document, and government identifier data. Our products do not need this information to work.
11. Responsible AI and use of outputs
Our products use rules, calculations, templates, and, where a product page says so, AI-assisted drafting and AI-assisted scoring against a published rubric. We apply the principles below. We draw on the Singapore Model AI Governance Framework and Malaysia's National Guidelines on AI Governance and Ethics as references. SkillPilot is not certified, audited, or approved under either framework.
What outputs are
Outputs are informational business-support materials. They are drafts to help your own analysis. They are not decisions, and they are not professional advice.
Limitations you should expect
Outputs can contain errors, omissions, bias, outdated assumptions, and incomplete results. A calculation is only as good as the inputs and assumptions behind it. Fictional examples on our site are illustrations, not benchmarks or customer results.
Human review is required
A competent person must review every output before anyone acts on it, shares it, or relies on it. Our workspaces mark generated drafts as review required and ask you to confirm your review before sharing a PDF.
How we apply each principle
- Human oversight. People make the decisions. Products produce drafts and never act on your behalf.
- Accountability. SkillPilot is accountable for how the products are designed. You are accountable for the decisions you make with them.
- Transparency. Product pages state what each product does, its inputs, its outputs, and its limits. We tell you when content is generated.
- Explainability. Calculated outputs show the inputs and assumptions used, so you can trace how a figure was produced.
- Fairness and bias awareness. Assumptions and defaults can carry bias. Review them for your context and do not use outputs to assess individuals.
- Security. Customer workspaces are private to the signed-in account and protected by access controls. See the Privacy Notice.
- Robustness and reliability. We test calculations with fictional cases before release. We cannot guarantee error-free results.
- Data governance. We collect only what a product needs. We ask you not to enter sensitive or third-party personal data.
- Reproducibility. Where a product uses deterministic calculations, the same inputs produce the same outputs.
- Feedback and grievances. Report an output concern, bias, harmful output, or misuse through the Support page.
- Social and environmental considerations. Products run as lightweight web tools and do not run large models on your data by default.
- Clear boundaries. Any recommendation in an output is a suggestion for your review. The decision to proceed, revise, or stop is yours.
12. No professional advice and no guaranteed outcomes
Our products do not provide legal, tax, accounting, investment, employment, medical, regulatory, cybersecurity, or other regulated professional advice. Get advice from a qualified professional before acting in those areas.
We do not guarantee any commercial, financial, operational, marketing, employment, or regulatory outcome. You are responsible for your decisions, how you implement them, and their consequences.
13. Third-party services
We use third-party providers to run the service. They include Stripe for payments, Supabase for sign-in and data storage, Netlify for hosting, email delivery providers, form providers, and, only if you allow it, privacy-focused analytics. If a product uses an external AI provider, its product page will say so before you buy. These providers act under their own terms. We choose them carefully but we are not responsible for their independent acts or outages to the extent the law allows.
14. Availability, maintenance, and changes
We aim to keep products available but do not promise uninterrupted access. We may carry out maintenance, fix errors, and improve products. We will not remove a core feature you paid for during your access period without offering a reasonable alternative or a proportionate refund.
If we discontinue a product, we will give at least 30 days' notice by email where practical and let you download your saved reports during that period.
15. Prices, currency, taxes, payment, and refunds
Prices appear on each product page in Malaysian ringgit (MYR) and United States dollars (USD). They are separate prices, not live currency conversions. Stripe processes payment. We do not see or store your full card details.
If you buy from outside Malaysia, you acknowledge that local tax and mandatory consumer laws may apply depending on your jurisdiction.
Applicable taxes, including sales and service tax (SST) if we are registered, are calculated and shown at checkout, supported by compliant invoicing fields. Stripe issues a receipt by email. Contact support if you need an invoice with additional details.
Refunds follow our Refund Policy. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be excluded.
If you raise a chargeback or payment dispute, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. While a dispute is open, access to the disputed product is paused.
16. AI help, credits, and benchmark contribution
Not active yet. AI-assisted drafting and paid credits are not available in any product today. This section is included now so it is in place before either feature switches on.
Where a product page says AI-assisted drafting is available, using it costs a fixed number of credits shown before you run the task. Credits have no cash value and are not a deposit, security, or investment. Credits granted with a product purchase or a top-up expire 365 days after they are granted. Credits granted with a subscription plan expire at the end of that billing month and do not roll over. A failed or refunded AI task returns its credits to your balance. Credits are not refundable except as the law requires, are not exchangeable for cash, and cannot be transferred between accounts. We may pause AI-assisted drafting, without affecting your other credits or your access to the rest of a product, to keep the service's overall usage within a company-wide limit.
You may separately choose to let us include bucketed figures from your workspace inputs, such as your sector, company size band, market, and calculated scores, in anonymised benchmarks shown to other customers. This consent is asked for separately from checkout and from these terms, and declining it never blocks a purchase or the use of a product. We do not attach your name, your company name, your email, or any free text you enter to a contribution. A benchmark figure is shown only once enough different customers have contributed to it. Withdrawing this consent stops your future contributions; it does not remove a benchmark figure already shown or exported to someone else. Some prices offer a discount in exchange for allowing contribution, where the product page states this.
17. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end access to a product if you materially breach these terms, if we reasonably suspect unauthorised access or misuse, or if the law requires it. Where practical we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond, unless doing so would create a security or legal risk.
You may stop using a product at any time. Ending use does not by itself create a right to a refund beyond our Refund Policy and your legal rights.
What happens after a refund, dispute, misuse, or unauthorised access
- After a refund, access to the refunded product ends. Download any reports you want to keep before requesting a refund.
- While a payment dispute is open, access is paused. It returns if the dispute is resolved in our favour.
- After suspension for misuse or unauthorised access, we may keep the data needed to investigate and protect other customers, as described in the Privacy Notice.
18. Warranties
We will provide products with reasonable care and skill and substantially as described on the product page. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we give no other warranties, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted operation. This excludes non-excludable guarantees under the Consumer Protection Act 1999 and the Sale of Goods Act 1957, which remain unaffected.
19. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, data, opportunity, goodwill, or business interruption
- our total aggregate liability to business buyers for all claims relating to a product is limited to the amount paid for that product in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that the law does not allow us to limit or exclude. Statutory consumer rights under the Consumer Protection Act 1999 remain unaffected.
20. Your indemnity
If you are a business buyer, to the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify us for reasonable losses and costs arising from a third-party claim caused by your unlawful use of a product, your misuse, data you uploaded without authority, your infringement of someone's intellectual property, or your breach of these terms. We will tell you promptly about any such claim and let you take part in its defence. This indemnity does not apply to consumer buyers.
21. Events outside our control
We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control. Examples include natural disasters, epidemics, war, government action, power or network failures, and failures of third-party infrastructure. We will tell you if such an event affects your access and take reasonable steps to reduce its effect.
22. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia and the courts of Malaysia have jurisdiction over disputes arising from them. This does not remove any mandatory right you have to bring a claim in the courts or before a consumer tribunal, such as the Tribunal for Consumer Claims, where the law gives you that right.
Before starting formal proceedings, please use the complaint process in section 23 so we can try to resolve the matter.
23. Complaints and grievances
Raise a complaint through the Support page or by email to info@skillpilotadvisory.ai. We acknowledge complaints within 2 business days and aim to resolve them within 10 business days. If we need longer, we tell you why and when to expect an answer. If you are not satisfied, ask for escalation and a director of Skill Pilot Advisory Sdn. Bhd. will review the matter.
24. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Each version has a version number and effective date at the top of this page. The version you accepted at purchase applies to that purchase. We tell customers by email about material changes that affect an existing purchase at least 14 days before they apply, unless the change is required by law sooner.
25. General
- Severability. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
- Waiver. If we do not enforce a right immediately, we can still enforce it later.
- Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our written consent. We may transfer ours to a successor business, provided your rights are not reduced.
- Entire agreement. These terms, the product page at the time of purchase, the Refund Policy, and the Privacy Notice form the whole agreement between us about the product.
- Language. If these terms are translated, the English version prevails to the extent the law allows.
Version 1.0. Effective date: 29 September 2026.
